The Raw Interview:  Russell James, a.k.a. The Raw Chef

I loved doing this interview with Russell.  It’s so great to get to know someone better when you’ve been ‘stalking’ them online for years.   Russell was refreshingly frank and open, so I know you’ll enjoy it to 🙂

For those of you who don’t know Russell James, a.k.a. The Raw Chef, he has been inspiring us with his exciting recipes and food photography for many years. He’s been a leading light in the British raw food scene and is now at the forefront of global raw consciousness.  He runs his international business,, providing wonderful online courses and ebooks for anyone who loves to get creative with raw food, anywhere in the world.

In our interview we chat about the ‘food police’ and what it’s like getting caught eating cooked food as a public raw food figure (yes, it does happen to us too!); weight loss (and lack of) on a raw food diet; dropping out of art school; career shifting (in Russell’s case, from supermarket manager to becoming The Raw Chef), and loads more!  So make yourself a Hot Maltie (see last week’s recipe video) and settle in for some inspiration 🙂
