Musings on Manifestation + This Week’s Recipe Video: Mango & Cardamom Porridge

I’ve practised visualisation over the years, and I’ve realised that it only really works for me when I’m naturally passionate and excited about the thing I’m visualising.  It’s all about visualising what really resonates with you on a deep, heart and soul level.

Over the years I’ve done lots of work around manifesting financial abundance, sometimes with success and sometimes without, but the big ‘aha’ moment I had was when I realised money isn’t actually something I feel passionate or excited about.  Of course I need money, like we all do, but the idea of trying to rack up the zeros usually makes me feel stressed rather than motivated. What gets me really excited about my work is sharing, inspiring and connecting with others who are taking responsibility for their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.  So now I focus on bringing more of that into my life.  And guess what?

Being in the flow

You may have seen me write ‘spread the raw love’ before.  Raw Love to me is about open-hearted generosity, warmth and connection.  It’s about raw food, yes, but it’s also about generosity, love, connection, excitement and passion.  These are some of my core values in life, and when I’m honouring these values…  all the rest follows naturally and effortlessly.  I’m in the flow.

When I’m teaching and coaching, I’m in my element (for those of you who’ve already worked with me, you’ll know what I mean 🙂 ).  As I was getting ready for last night’s online coaching workshop, I was loving visualising the connection and fun we were going to have during the event.  It felt so powerful, because it was in line with my passions.

Honouring our inner longings

As I write today’s blog post, I realise that I’m actually musing on creating the life you want from a place of authenticity.  For so many years (and I admit, even now, at times) I operated from a place of ‘should’: I ‘should’ make X amount of money;  I ‘should’ get married and have kids;  I ‘should’ own a home;  I ‘should’ work as hard as I possibly could, I ‘should’ spend more time with x,y,z etc. etc.  Living by other people’s values crushes our souls, and usually we don’t even realise we’re doing it.  It’s exhausting, not honouring our inner longings.

And so to today’s video.  Raw food is about honouring my inner longing.  I long to be full of energy, positivity and excitement about life.  I long to have delicious food as part of my day to day.  Mango and Cardamom Porridge is one of the recipes that helps me to fulfil these longings.  I hope you enjoy it too!
