This time of year gets me thinking Horlicks and hot chocolate, curled up on the sofa or as a comforting start to my day.

Today’s Hot Maltie drink is an idea for my new recipe book, which I’m testing recipes for at the moment.  It’s super quick and easy, and it’s a great way of getting the hormone balancing properties of maca into your daily diet.  Comfort and health in one!

I’d love to know what you think of it and if it should make it into the book 🙂

    Hi Saskia this recipe is absolutely delicious – perfect for having after a dog walk on a wet, wintry day like today! I’ll definitely be making this, probably on a daily basis now that winter’s arrived. I ran out of Maca the other day so while I was waiting for my delivery I followed the recipe but I substituted Maca for raw cacao powder and had a lovely hot chocolate, I cheated a bit and mixed the powder and milk in my personal blender and this made it ultra creamy. I think it would be a lovely recipe for your next book.
