25 Signs of a Toxic System

We all feel a little under the weather sometimes. We might feel more tired than usual and find that we are more prone to catching coughs and colds. Often we’ll put it down to stress or a lack of sleep.

Most people have no idea just how much what we eat and drink effects our everyday feeling of physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.  Obviously you are not ‘most people’ as you have found your way to this blog post, but which parts of your daily experience are purely down to your character, and which ones are caused by the toxins that have accumulated in your body over the years? Which ones can you actually change just by eating a bit healther?

Whatever we choose to put into our systems has some kind of effect on our bodies. Some foods are fantastically healthy for us, while others are more toxic in their nature.  (I’ll be writing a full blog post next month on the most toxic foods to cut out for instant feel-good results).

Our bodies have to work hard to cleanse a toxic system.  If you aren’t making healthy food choices you will really notice it in your energy levels, your moods, your mental acuity and how you look.  If you want to look and feel brighter and younger, it’s as simple as embracing a healthier diet with a good dose of raw foods included.

How Toxins Affect Us

When we are toxically overloaded (which is the vast majority of people over 16), we start to experience symptoms that affect us physically, mentally and emotionally.  When you are toxic your body has to redirect all of its energy into cleansing and eliminating the toxicity in our systems. This process saps our energy and weakens our immune systems, which leaves us feeling run-down and generally unwell. Not only that, but some of the most common food stuffs in the modern diet ACTIVELY suppress our immunity too.

As we leave childhood and grow older we start to experience some or all of the following symptoms of toxicity:

Physical Symptoms

1.  Constant Tiredness / Exhaustion

2.  Low Energy

3.  Weight Fluctuations

4.  Bad Breath

5.  Regular colds

6.  Muscle Weakness

7.  Skin Breakouts

8.  Digestive Issues

9.  Aching Joints

10.  Increased appetite / Lack of appetite

11. Headaches

12.  Nausea

13.  Continual sore throat / runny nose

14.  Painful or heavy periods / PMS

Mental Symptoms

15.  Brain Fog

16.  Memory Loss

17.  Inability to Concentrate

18.  Lack of mental clarity

19.  Lack of motivation

Emotional Symptoms

21.  Mood Swings

22.  Sleeping too much or too little

23.  Irritability / Quick to anger

24.  Stress and anxiety

25.  Depression

When we experience these symptoms it’s our body’s way of telling us that we need to start treating ourselves a little better. It’s a reminder that by improving our diets we can cleanse our bodies and detoxify our way back to energy, emotional balance and mental clarity.

So, if you’re ready to eliminate your symptoms of toxicity and change them for something a whole load better, it’s time to ditch your daily intake of toxic foods.  It’s time to dramatically reduce refined sugar, wheat, caffeine, dairy, meat, chocolate and wine – I’m not saying you can’t have it every now and then, but ditch the daily habit – and increase the fresh raw fruit and veg content in your diet.

Discover what kind woman you are when you reduce and even eliminate your symptoms of toxicity.  It’s time for you to shine!
